Today's PDN headline is about the devastation that the Rhino Beetle is causing.  Alot of the coconut trees here in Las Palmas are also getting attacked by this pest.  The tell tale sign of a tree under attack is that the top end of the fronds are eaten away in a diamond triangular shape.

We have seen at least 5 trees like this and in all likelihood must be cut down.
